Thomas J. Doktor  is a native of Hatfield, MA, and enlisted with the U.S. Air Force at age 19. He He did his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, TX, and specialized training at both Lackland and Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod.

Tom started his year’s tour in Vietnam in September 1968 as Security Police with the 366th Tactical Fighter Wing at Da Nang Air Force Base. 

Following his return home, Tom served another year at Westover Air Base, Chicopee, MA, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant E-4. He has been a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 92 since 2003.
