Paul S. Jagodzinski is a native of Hatfield, MA. He was 19 when he enlisted with the U.S. Marines, after completing a semester of community college.

Paul served two years in Vietnam, starting in September 1968, with the 1st Radio Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. His official job was ground radio repair, but he served in other capacities as well along the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) and at FSBs (fire support bases) and LZs (landing zones).

Paul was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant E-5. He has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for 51 years and of Disabled American Veterans for 10 years.
